OPP have charged a 38 year-old man for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend’s two children, aged four and eight.
Investigators started looking into the case after a teacher of the four year-old noticed some visible, unexplained bruising and contacted the Children’s Aid Society.
CAS and OPP investigators went to the home and interviewed both children, then laid charges against the accused.
The Picton man is charged with two counts of assault and was released from custody, but can’t have any contact with either child.
He will answer to the charges in Picton Court on January 4.
No names are being released to protect the victims.
