People around the world paused for two minutes of silence this morning, as we mark Remembrance Day in honour of the men and women who have lost their lives at war and those who continue to fight for our protection.
Locally, there were large gatherings at cenotaphs across the Quinte area including in Belleville, where Quinte News’ Tim Durkin noted the strong connection between our region and the people who fight for our country.
