Belleville council will decide its capital spending budget for next year during three days of meetings next week.
Monday night, a small group of Thurlow ward residents got a sneak peak at what council will be looking at.
The 2017 draft capital budget totals $36.2 million and features 105 different projects.
The draft capital budget does not include over $12 million for Phase 3 of the downtown revitalization project or close to $2 million for the Mineral/Maitland Roads project.
For comparison, this year’s capital spending was for 86 projects, totaling $21.9 million.
If passed as is, which never occurs, the capital spending plans would cause a 3.47% tax increase for local residents.
