The County is getting set to celebrate two big birthdays next year.
2017 marks Canada’s 150th plus the County’s 225th.
Director of Community Development Neil Carbone is planning to spark a 7 to 10 member Ad Hoc Committee to help the community coordinate and plan events.
Carbone said if grants are secured for the committee they will go towards things like marketing and commemorative memorabilia.
The committee of the whole carried the motion and it will go before council for a final vote.
