The Ontario Provincial Police has issued an ultimatum to a Northumberland OPP officer.
At a Police Services Act hearing today (Thursday), OPP Superintendant Greg Walton gave Constable
James Orser 7 days to quit or be terminated by the organization.
The ruling came after Orser pleaded guilty in the spring to a charge of Discreditable Conduct after making a compromising cellphone video and sharing it with other officers in 2011.
Previously, the Constable was docked 80 hours of pay after being found guilty of writing something inappropriate on a ticket.
James Orser had also been criminally charged with two counts of sex assault on two teenage girls in 2010 but was found not guilty as the judge found the girls testimony wildy inconsistent.
He has been suspended from duty with pay while these matters have been in process.
