A shoplifting investigation has led to charges against a man and woman from Belleville.
On Tuesday evening, Napanee OPP were called to Canadian Tire and located a man at a nearby restaurant where they charged him with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
An investigation determined that a man and woman driving a black 2006 Ford Fusion had been shoplifting from various stores in the Quinte Mall in Belleville and continued to Napanee targeting Wal Mart and Canadian Tire.
Around $1,000 worth of clothing, DVDs, and miscellaneous property were recovered by police.
Twenty-year-old Gabriel Hall and 23 year-old Cheyenne Ferrill are charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.
They were released with a Napanee court date of on September.
