Expect bright lights in the sky Monday night.
Members of 8 Wing CFB Trenton 424 Squadron will be conducting search and rescue flare training over Lake Ontario south of Brighton, west of Prince Edward County.
From 9 p.m. until midnight, a C-130 Hercules will be launching yellow-white flares from an altitude no higher than 5500 ft. above sea level.
This training is in support of nighttime SAR missions and allows 424 (T&R) Squadron to practice night flying and spotting procedures.
This training is not expected to pose a disturbance to the community.
