A 31-year-old Picton man is facing charges following a sexual assault investigation.
At 8:20 p.m. Saturday night, Prince Edward County OPP were called to investigate a report of sexual assault
As a result, the OPP charged the man with one count each of sexual assault and failing to comply with a probation order.
He is being held pending a show cause hearing set for today.
His name won’t be released in an effort to protect the victim.
Meanwhile, a 36-year-old woman has been charged following a neighbour dispute in Picton yesterday afternoon.
At 12:40 p.m. Prince Edward County OPP were called to investigate an altercation on Disraeli Street in Picton.
Following an investigation Amy Anetta Clark of Picton was charged with assault.
She was released with a promise to appear in Picton court on September 21, 2016.
