The second annual walk for inclusion is getting ready to take off, also marking Continuing On In Education’s 30th anniversary in the community.
The event on August 27 at West Zwick’s Park in Belleville is aimed at raising funds and awareness for a more inclusive society.
Chris Houlden, instructor and administrator at COED says monies raised go towards day programs for adults with disabilities that support independence and inclusion.
Registration for the 1K, 2.5K and 5K, walks begins at 10 a.m. The walk is at 11 with lunch, anniversary celebrations, live entertainment and cake to follow at 12 p.m.
