A Belleville man has made it to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
John Cairns, who lost his right arm and leg in a train accident 23 years ago, has been raising money for his non-profit organization, Wheelchair of Hope Foundation.
Tuesday, Cairns told Quinte News that he reached the summit of the Tanzanian mountain.
Cairns says it has been very difficult, however says it has been very humbling.
He says he is jubilant and thrilled to have reached the top.
