The occupants of the residence refused to exit and the TRU team set up containment while officers negotiated with the occupants.
After over two hours of negotiations the TRU team made entry to the residence.
Seven people were found living on the property, none of whom are members of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte.
70 year-old Ronald “William” Maracle of Tyendinaga Territory was arrested and faces charges of pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order and uttering death threats.
The charges stem from an incident that was reported to TPS on July 11 and occurred on the Territory.
The investigation is ongoing.
