A longtime Sergeant with the Central Hastings Ontario Provincial Police is retiring later this month.
The detachment announced Tuesday, it is extending warm wishes to Sergeant Jeff Brooks who will be retiring on July 31.
Sergeant Brooks has been a member of the OPP for 30 years, 21 of which were served with the Central Hastings detachment.
Over the past two decades Sergeant Brooks has been an active community member both personally and professionally where he has made long lasting friendships throughout the Quinte region.
βIt has been a great ride here,β said Sergeant Brooks. βI have been lucky to work with some wonderful people. I have enjoyed my entire career with the OPP and this job has given me the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life.β
His co-workers recognize him for his leadership, work ethic and great sense of humour and they wish him the best of luck in his retirement.
