This year’s Participaction report card on physical activity for kids and youth is showing some scary statistics.
The report handed out letter grades across a number of kids’ lifestyle factors, including a B for amount of sleep and a D- for the amount of exercise kids are getting.
Public Health Nurse Kristen Stones tells Quinte News, a new Youth Movement Guideline has been introduced to help raise all of those grades, including the lowest for sedentary behaviour.
Stones says it’s somewhat of a vicious cycle.
