In another strong show of support for Trenton Memorial Hospital, two bus loads of members from the Our TMH group, travelled to the QHC annual meeting in Bancroft yesterday.
All 88 people stood in support of Mike Cowan, who spoke on behalf of the group, once again voicing displeasure about cuts to services at TMH and the move of equipment and some surgeries to Belleville.
Cowan tells Quinte News, he thinks the board may be getting ahead of itself, forgetting the Ministry of Health put a pause on the move.
QHC CEO Mary Clare Egberts says the board continues to be impressed by the Our TMH group’s passion and had a message for those supporters.
There’s no word on when a final decision on the surgery moves will be made.
