A 46-year-old Belleville woman has been sentenced after pleading guilty to assault causing bodily harm in relation to a domestic dispute involving a knife on Good Friday.
On March 25, 2016, city police were called to 425 Bleecker Avenue around 1:30 p.m. where both a man and woman were taken to Belleville General Hospital.
The man was then transferred to Kingston General Hospital with serious injuries. He was later released and is said to be recovering from stab wounds.
Following an investigation the woman, who police won’t name, was charged with aggravated assault.
