A staple in Canadian television is no more.
CTV’s Canada AM signed off at 9:00 a.m. Friday
The show began on September 11, 1972, and for many years featured CJBQ alumna Beverley Thompson.
She was emotional signing off today.
Thompson will continue her career at CTV News Channel.
It was announced by the company Thursday that it would be signing off in its 44th year on the air.
