A number of local groups are joining together in Belleville on Saturday for a march on climate change.
Quinte Biosphere Defenders, Amnesty International Group 1-11, and others are joining people around the world to encourage leaders to honour the promises they made at the Paris Climate Talks last fall.
Spokesperson Lindy Powell she is hopeful that Canada will honour its pledge to lower its carbon count.
Powell expects about 100 people to join the march which leaves Belleville Public Library at 11 a.m. Saturday and makes its way to the waterfront at George Street.
