There is hope that a new community gardens will start up again soon in the City of Quinte West.
Several residents have banded together and are hoping to run a volunteer gardens somewhere in
the city.
Last night, Claire Marchand and Collette Richardson asked Quinte West council for a donation of land.
Richardson said the group wants to hold special events and more at the gardens.
Council will see a staff report on land availability for a community gardens, including a plot near the water tower in the North Murray Industrial Park.
A community gardens used to operate next to the OPP headquarters in Trenton, but that land will be used to house a new police station.
