The Bay of Quinte is the second-best spot for the cost of doing business, in a long list of countries
The Quinte Economic development Commission received a report showing the Bay of Quinte comes second only to Mexico in business operation cost, in the latest KPMG Competitive Alternatives survey.

King said it was a valuable reference for corporations evaluating location options.
The survey looked at more than 100 cities in 10 countries with the United States placing 10th.

The Bay of Quinte is reaching out across the world in a bid to expand business opportunities.
The Quinte Economic Development Commission has been using what it calls “webinars” or internet conferences to let Canadian consulates in foreign lands know what business opportunities are available here.
Now it’s targeting European food processors looking to enter the Canadian marketplace. Executive director Chris King

King says beginning early June experts from industry will provide information for foreign companies looking for sales or investment opportunities here.
