Quinte West council will decide on its 2016 operating budget later today.
If approved as presented, residential taxpayers would see a 2.44% tax rate increase in all four wards in Quinte West.
The increase would mean an increase of $58 to $64 a year on a house priced at the average Quinte West value of $201,000.
The special council meeting begins at city hall 5 p.m. today.
