The police chief in Stirling-Rawdon says there are two simple reasons the town’s crime rate hasn’t changed much over the past four years.
Chief Dario Cecchin presented the 2015 crime stats to the police board last night and tells Quinte News the first reason the crime rate is so low, is because of the people who live there.
Cecchin says the other factor is the ability of his officers to identify small problems and stop them from getting out of hand.
Overall the department looked into just over 1,000 occurrences last year and Cecchin says there are no patterns to be concerned about.
