Belleville Police are confirming human remains discovered at the Sewage Treament Plant are that of a small fetus. Staff at the facility on Belleville’s east bayshore alerted investigators at 2:45 yesterday afternoon. Sources tell our newsroom the fetus is believed to be about 4-months old. Deputy Chief Paul Vandegraf says the fetus is currently at the Forensic Pathology Unit at the Office of the Chief Coroner being examined. The investigation is continuing.
