The phone calls are over, for now. The City of Quinte West has reported that it’s phone number verification process for it’s PRISM emergency service is now complete.
About 80 percent of Quinte West’s phone numbers have been verified as being on the computer based program.
PRISM automatically dials residents in case of a community emergency, and can alert the community to problems in a very short time.
Soon, people in Quinte West will be able to search the city’s web site to see if their number is included on the PRISM database.
