Belleville Police have arrested two people after the discovery of stolen goods at a home near an elementary school that went into “shelter in place” mode.
Queen Victoria on Pine Street took the special precaution for half an hour yesterday while officers searched a house on Albion Street. They seized electronic equipment, personal identification documents and jewellery taken in recent residential breakins in and around the city.. Twenty-nine-year-old Shane McFarland and 42-year-old Michellyne Menard, both of Belleville, are charged with possession of property obtained by crime. McFarland is also charged with five counts of break and enter. Both will appear in Provincial Court on June 3rd.
