It took seven days but Prince Edward County has wrapped up its 2010
budget. The news for County residents…homeowners with an average assessment of 200-thousand dollars can expect to pay a three-point-three percent tax increase…an extra 78-dollars. County Council held the operating budget steady at 46-point-two million dollars. Mayor Leo Finnegan says the County doesn’t have much commercial business but depends on residential assessment. The 51-million dollar capital budget includes the new Picton sewage treatment plant and the Wellington Community Centre.
