Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis says many people in the community are eligible to win provincial awards….they just need to be nominated. Mayor Ellis told City Council last night there are 20-different awards and he encourages people to make the nominations….that could be in the fields of arts, education public service, business, or sports. Council had requested a report on the issue after realizing the deadlne for nominations for the “Order of Ontario” was too close for the city to put up any names.
