Belleville cyclist Damon Allen hopes to raise 50-thousand dollars to help children and their families living with cancer. Allen, a national rider in the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride, appeared before Belleville City Council last night. He says conquering Muscular Dystrophy himself as a child is what prompted him to help these children with cancer.. He says it’s a way of giving-back. Allen will ride in the Cross-Canada fundraising campaign this fall… passing through Belleville on September 19. The cross-country ride has raised 2.8-million dollars so far.
