The new multiplex recreation community centre in Belleville has helped more than quadruple the value of construction activity in the city so far this year.
Building permits for projects worth 34-million dollars were issued last month, including one for the 28.5-million-dollar multiplex centre at the Quinte Sports Centre. The facility will include a twin pad arena, five dressing rooms, an acquatic centre and other amenities.
Building projects valued at almost 45-million dollars have been approved in Belleville this year, compared to fourteen-million at this time last year.
