A new five-unit townhouse has helped boost the value of building activity in Brighton.
A permit for the 800-thousand dollar building on Chapel Street was approved at the municipal office last month. Chief Building Official Rick Jones says it was one of 22 permits issued in March for projects worth 3.6-million dollars.
Brighton has approved 7.2 million dollars in building activity so far this year, compared to 1.9-million at this time in 2009.
