Police have seized nine firearms, including a machine gun and two handguns, in the Bancroft area.
The O-P-P Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit discovered the weapons and military ammunition while helping officers from the Bancroft detachment investigate a breakin.
The investigation continues into other breakins and weapons-related offences in North Hastings, and charges are pending, although police haven’t said whether they’ve made an arrest.
