It’s not just new business that the Mayor of Belleville has been fishing for. Neil Ellis says that a new green energy project could be in store for the city soon as well….and, is currently in the planning stages by the city’s electricity supplier Veridian Corporation. He wouldn’t specify what type of green project but says Veridian is the midst of needs assessment for the city. Mayor Ellis says the city would be a partner in the project…since it owns a 13-percent stake in Veridian. He says it’ll be a payback for the city and comes with no risk.
