A St. Patrick’s Day party gone awry has claimed at least one life in Belleville. Our newsroom has learned one of the victim’s of this morning’s shooting on Belleville’s east hill has died enroute to Kingston General Hospital. It’s believed the man in his 20’s, who has family in the Read area, was attending a party when one of the occupants started shooting. One other young man was shot and is being treated at Belleville General Hospital. A witness tells our newsroom one of the victims was lying unresponsive and motionless outside the home when paramedics arrived and CPR was performed at the scene. Sergeant Julie Forestell says there are many interviews being conducted…and, at this time they can’t confirm reports to our newsroom that a 21-year old man is in custody. A press conference is being scheduled for this afternoon at 2 o’clock.
