Organizers of a handful of local festivals have reason to party on this St Patrick’s Day. The Province is sending almost 220-thousand dollars through the Celebrate Ontario program to allow the festivals to enhance their programs and activities and create jobs. The Festival Players of Prince Edward County are getting the most….75-thousand dolllars. Taste…a Celebration of Regional Cuisine in Prince Edward County and the Rockhound Gemboree in Bancroft are each getting 40-thousand. Prince Edward Hastings MPP Leona Dombrowsky says the Deseronto Waterfront Festival, Stirling Truck Show, Picton Summer Arts Festival and Celebrate Marmora are also getting funding.
