Three people are believed to have been shot and killed in an early morning incident in Prince Edward County that has sparked a massive manhunt into Trenton and possibly now into Brighton.

The Hilltop Restaurant on Dundas Street West in Trenton was contained by police and none of the customers inside were allowed to leave after it was believed the suspect was inside….he wasn’t located. Both bridges that cross the Trent River in Downtown Trenton were closed for most of the morning. Trenton Memorial Hospital went into lockdown mode…..and, QHC officials say people are only being allowed to enter through the emergency room doors.
Police found a suspect vehicle abandoned on the Loyalist Parkway south of Carrying Place at 7am and that section of highway was closed….but, has since been re-opened. Our newsroom has learned three people….all women…..were in the home at the time of the shooting on Valley Road…and, that the suspect was a young man who knew the victims. That hasn’t been confirmed by police.
