A recent change in the traffic signals at a troublesome Belleville intersection may be responsible for reducing the number of crashes there. Deputy Chief Paul VandeGraf told today’s Police Service Board meeting that there was only one accident at the intersection of College and Sidney Streets between December and February…..and, adds that accident wasn’t “intersection related”. There were three accidents at the four corners during the same period last year. In November, Council changed the sequence of the traffic lights which eliminates northbound and southbound cars travelling through the intersection at the same time.
