Details remain sketchy, but the three municipalities involved with the Tri Area Medical Center in Madoc have agreed to pitch in financially to help cover cost overruns on the facilities construction. It is known Madoc township has agreed to pay 25 thousand dollars toward the estimated 265 thousand dollar overrun on the 3 million dollar building, and 21 thousand dollars a year for ongoing operating costs. Center Hastings and Tudor Cashel are the other partners in the medical center. There is still disagreement over a new cost sharing agreement for the building, as Madoc Township only wanted to partner on a smaller facility, with lower operating costs.
