There will have to be some belt tightening by the Prince Edward County Library Board.
The Committee of the Whole will consider a recommendation from the county treasurer tomorrow to ask the board for a 24-thousand dollar budget reduction.
The board has submitted a budget requiring 878-thousand to be raised, up by 7.3 per cent over last year. Staff were told at budget meetings last month to find reductions resulting in a tax levy increase of less than four per cent.
