A driving complaint on the 4-0-1 through Quinte has led to the arrest of a couple of alleged counterfeiters in Trenton. Quinte West OPP were alerted to an aggressive driver on the 401 which exited at Sidney Street in Trenton. The vehicle with Quebec plates was located at a nearby restaurant. Investigation led to the arrest of two men…aged 23 and 21 from Quebec for drug offences and possession of counterfeit American currency. The pair were allegedly passing the large fake bills and getting Canadian money in change along the 401 corridor. Both are in custody with bail hearings set in Belleville this afternoon.
