Getting tattoos can be dangerous to your health, and the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge Health Unit has concerns about a tattoo business in Colborne.
A woman, Natasha Wasalyk, had been giving people tattoos and ear piercings from her house at 16 Percy Street in Colborne since the summer of last year.
Someone complained about her operation, and the health unit inspected, and found that her equipment may not have been properly sterilized.
Health unit staff want anyone who has received a tattoo or ear piercing from Ms. Wasalyk in Colborne, to contact them. Unsterile equipment can lead to HIV Aids, and hepatitis.
There have no reports of illness in relation to the woman’s business.
