Prince Edward County Council will be asked to award contracts for road work and a youth park clubhouse when it meets tonight.
The Public Works Commissioner recommends the 2.4-million-dollar tender of Coco Paving, the lowest of two received, be accepted. The project involves improvements on county roads 15 and 25, and a new right turn lane on county road 49.
Council will also be requested to award a 155-thousand-dollar contract for the construction of a youth park clubhouse at the Picton Fairgrounds to Wemp and Smith Construction, the lowest of three bidders. The council meeting begins at Shire Hall in Picton at 7-30 this evening.
