Women in politics will be in the spotlight at an event in Belleville tonight.
The Prince Edward-Hastings Federal Liberal Riding Association wants to draw attention to the fact that only 21 per cent of Canada’s municipal council members are women, compared to 52 per cent of the general population.
The tribute to Women in politics on this, International Women’s Day, will run from six to eight o’clock at the Art Gallery in the Belleville Public Library.
