If they build it…people will come according to John McDonnell. The Madoc man wants the community to come together…as they did for the Skatepark project….to support a new swimming facility in Centre Hastings. McDonnell, sits on the enclosed pool facility, and says a study by Greer Galloway shows the old outdoor pool is in very bad shape. McDonnell estimates a new indoor 30-metre pool would cost in the neighborhood of 2-million dollars. He says residents interested in building a new pool should contact him or the Centre Hastings Recreation Director Sara Bowles.
