Belleville City Council will be asked today to approve a contract for just over two-million-dollars to repair the Sidney Street railway overpass.
A report from the engineering director indicates the tender from Carlington Construction was the lowest qualified bid received for the work.
The job would cost 1.94 million dollars, with another 97-thousand for Good and Services Tax. Council will also be presented an 884-thousand dollar tender from Cobourg Development Services as the recommended bid for sanitary and storm sewer work on Henry and Everett Streets and watermain reconstruction on Wallbridge Crescent.
