A British Columbia company planning a 52-thousand panel solar farm in Belleville also has its sights on Lennox and Addington County.
Effisolar Energy Corporation wants to build eight facilities, also with 52-thousand panels each, with seven in Stone Mills Township and one on Bridge Street, west of Napanee.
Each project is described as a ground-mounted solar collection array, with the panels installed on a racking system, and the energy uploaded to the local electrical grid. The company has plans for the same kind of project on Old Highway Two, east of Mitchell Road, in Belleville.
