Recent murders and other acts of violence in the Quinte area have left people “shaken and fearful.” Spokesperson for Acts of Kindness Week Chris Macdonald says the need to make a difference is “greater than ever.” Macdonald says the annual spring campaign takes its message to 38-thosuand students in 66-schools, as well as the general public. The Acts of Kindness campaign began 14-years ago, after the violent murders of three Belleville teenagers, including MacDonald’s son Mark Fyke on spring break in Daytona Beach, Rebecca Middleton in Bermuda and Sean Keegan on a Toronto street. Acts of Kindness Week begins Monday.
