Stores could be open in Prince Edward County on Good Fridays if the Picton Downtown Merchants get their way.
The business improvement area will ask the Committee of the Whole today to add Good Friday to the list of statutory holidays retail outlets are allowed to open on. The county already lets stores operate on other holidays that other municipalities require businesses to be closed on.
The Committee meeting begins at Shire Hall in Picton at one o’clock this afternoon.
