The Quinte West Chamber of Commerce wants to know what its members and the public think about about a two per cent increase in federal and provincial sales taxes.
General Manager Suzanne Andrews says the chamber is asking if they would support the hike if it went directly toward reducing the federal deficit.
She says people have to start thinking about not only the federal shortfall, but the one in Ontario. They can respond to the survey until the end of February by going to the chamber website, or mailing or phoning their ideas to the chamber office.
