” … talking to somebody who I can’t remember who it was, and they had mentioned this guy John Buchanan, who’s a Brighton resident. And John had reached out to me. Somebody had told him that I was looking for a smaller venue. John reached out to me, and we went and he set up a meeting with the town, and it just kind of snowballed from there.”
Iezzi tells Quinte News that the support has been very impressive.
“The response in the town, the councillors, the mayor, Parks & Rec, Vicki Howell—everybody’s been absolutely amazing. I’ve been in Brighton for the last three weeks pretty much every day, going into stores and restaurants and what have you, and just asking people, ‘Hey, have you heard of the new hockey team?’ and everybody’s just over the moon.”
