Lots of interest in Prince Edward County’s new Community Grants Program.
Treasurer James Hepburn says 25 non-profit community groups and organizations requested almost 75-thousand dollars funding by this week’s deadline to apply.
A Grant Committee will look at the submissions this month, and is expected to make recommendations to County Council on March second. Council has budgeted 46-thousand dollars for the program.
