The O-P-P deny a media report Colonel Russell Williams has been ruled out as a suspect in the unsolved 2001 death of Kathleen MacVicar at C-F-B Trenton.
The National Post reported MacVicar’s mother, Colleen MacVicar, said she was disappointed after police confirmed Williams was not a suspect. However, O-P-P Sergeant Kristine Rae told our newsroom this morning investigators are still concentrating on the four offences Williams is charged with, and haven’t had time to begin looking at other unsolved crimes where he was posted, including the MacVicar murder.
Williams has been charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Jessica Lloyd of Belleville and Marie-France Comeau of Brighton.. He has also been charged with the forcible confinement and sexual assault of two other women in Tweed in cases where the victims were bound naked to chairs and photographed by their attacker.
